Zippy
I have no business starting another book right now. I have a couple of things to finish up, but based on a friend's strong recommendation and the fact that he brought it into work for me, I find myself breezing through A Girl Named Zippy by Haven Kimmel. So far it is light and funny. I expect I'll be done with it long before I wrap up my ongoing reading of Master and Commander. Tried to get M & C in book form at the library yesterday, but it was checked out. So, it's still audio for me.

"I have no business starting another book right now"--story of my life!
Sadly, I am halfway through four books right now. Bryson seems to be winning.
I've just finished The Bean Trees and have started Ken Follet's Pillars of the Earth. If I start a new book, it means the old one will remain unread. Sometimes I squeeze in a magazine like the Sun.
Cook, did you love Bean Trees? Is it as good as Poisonwood Bible? My sister-in-law liked Prodigal Summer just as much.
