I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.
Which actor is the best James Bond? Which of the Bond films is the best? Second best? Worst?

SEAN CONNERY of course. Has he ever made a bad movie?
However, my favorite Bond movie is "Live and Let Die" which has Roger Moore in it. I love the setting in the Caribbean Islands and all the voodoo stuff. The beginning is great, were the funeral procession picks up the dead body off the street and then breaks into jazz music.
And of course the theme song by Paul McCartney and Wings is the cherry on top.
I don't know from Bond. I think I remember seeing Goldfinger with my dad as a kid. And Moonraker was on the Movie Channel for a good chunk of time. What about this new first one that was just out?
We are all big Bond fans at our house, and we all love Sean Connery. One favorite scene is the girl fight in "From Russia With Love" between Commander Kleb (Brecht's wife!) and the blonde Russian. Kleb has spikes that come out of the toe of her shoe. When I was a kid, however, I loved the scene where the guy falls in to the pirahna pool. I enjoyed the new Bond, as well.
Also, I didn't post last week, and I have to stick up for "300". It's an extremely loyal adaptation of a graphic novel--almost frame by frame. It's beautiful to look at and very exciting, and I'm not just talking about the bods!
Sean Connery is James Bond, darn it. Then Pierce Brosnan, because he's almost to Connery's level and pretty to look at. Roger Moore couldn't find Bond's character if he was given a map, flashlight, mule, and small Tibetan guide.
My Top Three Bond Films: On her Majestys Secret Service, Live and Let Die, From Russia With Love.
I think all the actors that played bond have done a pretty good job keeping the series going....order of my favorites Connery, Lazenby, Craig, Moore, Brosnan, Dalton.
I have to agree about the Paul McCartney song for Live and Let Die. It really brings works for the title sequence. This film is also great because this is the only movie that makes Bond look totally out of his element in the Filet-o-Soul scene.
I really wish George Lazenby did another bond film....he may have been the best if only he did another.

I have to say Roger Moore because he is really the first Bond I saw. Next would be Sean Connery. I had hoped to like Pierce Brosnan more than I did.

Casino Royale - the new one
I have to go with Sean Connery-so dashing! But Daniel Craig might win me over. I loved Casino Royale.

Coming in late, but what the heck.

I suppose I don't really have a favorite.
