Dandelion Wine
I interlibrary loaned an audio copy thinking that I could listen while I sat and knitted. The audio version I got was a full cast and music performance of the story, not a reading of the exact novel. So, even though it is over there, on the left, in my reading list, I still haven't started it. How's everybody else doing with Dandelion Wine? By my count, we're going to have more than 10 people at our book talk on the 23rd.

I, for one, have got to get busy!
We just picked up two copies from interlibrary loan today. D promises to start reading tonight but I'm torn between finishing "First Born" or starting DW. It is so sucky being a slow reader without much time to read.
Got me copy tonight! With a old giftcard and a 15% off coupon. Yahr!
On page 26. Thus far, it has inspired me to experience summer more deeply (or at least try to). I was surprised at how lyrical and reverent it is...I didn't really know what to expect from Ray Bradbury, I guess.

I agree with Lisa - it's not what I expected, but it's lovely.
My crotchety, poetry-hating, explosion-loving father describes reading Dandelion Wine as being like listening to four-part harmony. If Bradbury can make him wax poetic about this book, it must have something to it.
