I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.
As my period of reading freedom draws to a close for another semester, I am reading The Orphan's Tales: In the Night Garden, by Catherynne M. Valente. It's the next book for the library reading group which I lured Erin to and then never went back, and it's wonderful fun. Hopefully I'll be able to make the discussion. I also just read a short story for class called Young Goodman Brown. Also good fun.

Just picked up Thin Is The New Happy. It seemed appropriate.

I like Young Goodman Brown! I think of it every fall when I am walking under autumn-colored trees. New England spooky.
The Uncommon Reader - it's short, charming. I am not in any hurry to gulp it down.
