I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.
I'm reading a book for class called Wieland. It's quite...full of variety? In the beginning, I was waiting every minute for Sherlock Holmes to walk in, then, it became several chapters of improbable moralising and females becoming sick from bad news, but then the multiple homicide caused things to pick back up, and I'm back to wishing somebody'd send a note round to Baker Street. Definitely interesting. I also just read a short story by Amy Tan called "The Rules of the Game." Interesting as well; I'll need to let it percolate for a while. And I'm supposed to be reading The Choice of the Cat for the library book discussion with the author, but I have a hard time getting into military sci fi. But I'm sure I'll finish it yet!
Congrats on The Hobbit! I love the Gandolf pic. I am between books, but wanted to say hello. Do you and J have a date to see The Soloist? If not, I'll go with you...
