I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.
I'm reading The Choice of the Cat, by E.E. Knight, for the Destination: Wonder discussion, which will have the author in attendance this month, as well as free pizza. I SHOULD be writing the paper on the short story I just read, American History, which was quite good. But I still don't want to write about it.
I certainly did! The book signing/release party for the new Dresden Files book was a great time. Jim butcher was very quick witted and very nice and really seemed to enjoy talking with his fans.
Finishing up "The Foie Gras War" and am so mad at the animal rights people I could just spit. Next up may be the second "World of Tiers" book... or something else.
Reading "Voyage of the Beagle" and Watchmen. Beagle is so similar to reading "20,000 Leagues"...everything you want to know about a specific rock, at the mouth of a specific river, during a specific season....

Just about to start the newest Dresden Files book, Turn Coat!
Say, Ben, didn't you just meet the author?
