This past week I read Don's favorite book ever published, A Girl Named Zippy, which I enjoyed heartily, and its sequel, She Got Up Off the Couch, which was also good but not as good. I've been slogging my way through pages upon pages of ancient Roman history, which is just thrilling, and I'm going to be rereading Canticle for Leibowitz for my sci fi class as soon as I can get around to it. Oh, what I wouldn't give for school to be over.

Just finished Cory Doctorow's "Little Brother", which I would recommend to everyone. It is really this generations 1984.
Am now reading "Cheap" by Ellen Shell. Subtitled "The High Cost of Discount Culture", it is shaping up to be about a lot of things I knew and/or suspected but will still get me all hepped up.
Danika, I may need to marry you just for your taste in books.

Um, not sure Sue or I are going to be okay with that.

"A River Town" by Thomas Keneally, author of "Schindler's List". It is based on events in the author's grandfather's life as a turn-of-the-century immigrant to Australia.

I'm reading Sarah Waters's The Little Stranger. It took over 150 pages for something to happen, other than a little girl to get bit on the face by a dog. She's so much better when she writes about lesbians. *sigh*
