Vince & I have been reading the Art of Happiness by HH the Dalai Lama. God balance of psychology & spirituality & philosophy. Slow reading--we're on our 3rd week--takes time to absorb & discuss the ideas.

Oops,I meant "good balance," not God balance.

More Greek history. Plutarch. Yippee. Also working on the library book club read for this coming month, The Alchemy of Stone. It's fairly good, and reminding me of several of the stories I read in my sci fi class this summer. Why is it that the first thing these writers seem to think about with androids is how to get the humans to sleep with them?

Re-reading the Sara Donati series. Reading Diana Gabaldon's latest brought it to mind. Really I'm just keeping busy until Eric finishes the new Robert Jordan and I can get my mitts on it.

Was happy to start Superfreakonomics but then, today, the new James McManus book came in. I have been waiting for this for years. I could not BE more excited.

Hey cooksin, how do you feel about: "Hey surprise! We said it was ending but there's really two MORE books after this one. ...suckers."

Hey, Don, let me know how the McManus book (Cowboys Full: The Story of Poker) pans out. My brother Brian, who never reads this blog, might like it.
