I tend to think of books about the same time every year, connect them with a season. After I'd started this little gem (an advanced reader's copy from Barnes and Noble) again the other day, I saw that it has 7-09-09 on the spine. No wonder I was drawn to it right now.
You could call this book a poetry workshop in disguise as a novel or a little novel peeking out from behind a poetry workshop. I think it succeeds on both levels. No matter what Don says.
I finished it yesterday and am now rereading another hot weather book, which I will reveal tomorrow.

Hey - is that the book about the guy compiling the poetry anthology? Good read! I am reading Glass Castles by Jeanette Wells - amazing story! Wow - I have not been on the blog for ever - missed it...
That's the book, Sophia. Glass Castles tore through B&N the year it came out. Most the staff read it. I gave it to my mom, but I haven't read it.
Hmmm...this is odd. The picture for this post is not showing up for me, whereas the rest of the pictures on your main page are perfectly visible.
