I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.
Just finished Boneshaker myself--and I enjoyed it quite a bit, except for the very very ending where things became so annoyingly tenuous. If I wanted to decide how things happen, I'd write the darn thing myself, wouldn't I? Such a cop-out. Started Borders of Infinity, by Lois McMaster Bujold, in an effort to return the copy of it I borrowed from a friend before she leaves for Austria. The first four pages or so were good.
Krakken by China Mieville. I'm 350 pages into a 500 page book and can't decide whether I like it or not. I will finish it though. (Anyone wanting some dandy noir sci-fi should check out his City and the City. Danika.)

I was reading Boneshaker for the library group but have finished it.
Picking and choosing stories from The Bone Key to occupy myself until I pick up the next new thing.
