I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.
Thanks for sharing, Mary. I gave my mom and dad nook for Christmas and had fun showing Mom how to download Charles Dickens for free. Jim and I got some Tintin comics for Olivia and some Calvin and Hobbes for Maria and a cute book called Zoobabies for both of them.
although I am reading the book about the big whale, my father gave me a book about a woman who suffered a stroke and studied her recovery and her brain function. I cant remember the title - going to read it on the airplane.
I didn't get any books, but I got some B&N gift cards! I'm already putting them to good use (so far I've bought a logic/math puzzle book on dot sale, and a box calendar). I did give several books though: my sister wanted (and received from me) Kardashian Konfidential (she's my sister so I don't judge) and Tracy Anderson's 30-Day Method (a fitness book). I got my mom Ina Garten's (the Barefoot Contessa's) How Easy is That?, as well as the B&N exclusive companion: banana bread w/ cream cheese frosting mix. She was pretty excited about that, :).

I gave Cenzo the newest Cynthia Ozick: Foreign Bodies. We're both huge fans of hers, and I wish he would read faster so I can take my turn!
I also downloaded the nook for PC, and have started re-reading Little Women (Alcott). It's always been one of my favorites.
