Book Thoughts

Finished Going Gray. Started out fine. Got a little reasearch-y. A little statistic-y. I just wanted to hear her talk about her experiences, her feelings.

I dumped Chronicles by Bob Dylan. I might have liked learning about Dylan's life by watching Scorsese's No Direction Home, but to hear Dylan tell his own story is like listening to the caterpillar from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Too out there. Too all over the place.

Got some historical fiction on ancient egypt for kids. Might have a go at one of them.

Fahrenheit 451 sits untouched thus far.

And I was given a sweet treat, a self-published mystery by a 5-woman writing team from California, The Jewel Box. That might be just the thing to start tonight, even though it is late.

Happy Reading,
Ch

Hey Don, the guy who started Pandora.com is on the cover of the new Inc. magazine. I just put it out tonight.

Finished The Jewel Box! It's very enjoyable to read something by someone you know. I constantly found myself searching for Marybeth's voice. The view into Sophia's home town was yummy. Described with love and a sense of it's history.

Gave up on the end of Three Cups of Tea. Reading F-451, Tuck Everlasting, and The Jewel Box.
