Reading Odds and Ends

Sorry, Don. Had to give up Einstein's Dreams for now. I will get back to it. Just was sitting too long.

The only thing I'm reading for myself right now is Frances Mayes' Year in the World. I truly get in about five pages a night. She and her husband are in Fez. They are eating spicy meals and drinking lots of mint tea, green tea poured into glasses stuffed with sprigs of mint. They have not eaten camel (as far as they know). Her husband has gotten violently ill. She describes the intricately tiled fountains, the Arabic touches on the architecture, the courtyards, men and women in their flowing robes.

Read Catwings by Ursula K. Le Guin to my 1st grade reading group yesterday. Am reading The Wanderings of Odysseus by Rosemary Sutcliffe to my 5th grade history class (it's a retelling of the Odyssey). Reading an assortment of books to Maria about fish and whales for her science class.

Checked out Terry Gross's All I Did Was Ask from the library for Jim, thought I'd skim it a bit myself, but time, time, time. . .
