Can a Sunday evening in July work for our book talk on Slaughter-house Five? Would we consider meeting somewhere else since B&N is only open till 8PM on Sundays? For those of you who are planning on attending, would you pick the best date of these three, please?

13th is the absolute best, except there's less time to squeeze in the read. Next best is 27th. Could make the 20th if we had to but it would mean missing some live Blues music and you wouldn't make me do that would you?
Hey, hey, hey, folks. Let's keep the blog nonspecific on town names if you please. Con mucho gusto.

I like the 13th too! Any suggestions as to where we have it? I wouldn't be averse to hosting it at my place, actually! I should have enough seating.

ANY of the Sundays are OK with me.
Location options:
Starbucks -open til 9
Panera - open til 8
Caribou - open til 9:30
The House - open til midnight
How bout the House?
I dunno, Don, I don't think the House would work for you guys. My knitting group meets Sunday nights across the street, and we're always watching the bands hauling gear in, and the groupies squealing at the emo kids. It's quite the entertaining sideshow, really, but the volume there is insane...not so much conducive to good discussions. Just FYI.
Across the street is pretty darn friendly to weird groups of like-minded people, though. ;-)
Heather, where "across the street" are you guys meeting?
If a public place is preferred, then Caribou being open until 9:30 sounds promising...

The Junction is open till 2 am.
I thought the Junction, too. But O'Leary's could be good. . .
And thank you Lisa for being open to have it at your house!
O'Leary's could be good, but don't they play music? That might be too loud for a book discussion. The Junction may be the most promising...

We meet at O'Leary's every Sunday, and while they do play music, it's not too loud (and, if it is obnoxious, they're really cool about turning it down if you ask nicely). They're also happy to turn up the lights if we find it too dim, which is really nice for us knitter-types. :-)
Any day works for me and as per a meeting place. I'm open to that as well. We could even use my apartment if we needed to.
