I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.
Um, Ben would actually be much better to ask. I started reading it in a frenzy (on my nookTM no less) but then I had technical difficulties and had to trade my nook in, and in the interim I started reading other things, so now I'm momentarily off track. However, may I recommend the book The Kitchen House?
I tried to start Life of Pi a couple of weeks ago, and then I got really busy and distracted. Now I'm reading one of Yancy's poker books: Harrington on Hold 'Em, Volume I.

@Lisa: Loved Life of Pi. Especially the ending. Print version was good, then "read" it on audio book, but the forced accent was distracting.
