I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.
I have been trying to read The Once and Future King, by T.H. White, parts of which I read for a class, but which I thought I might go ahead and finish now that I'm reading through all the books I collected while in school but never had time to read. However, I've been sick, so my ability to focus on even semi-long words is low, so mostly I've been reading Fables: The Great Crossover, which is a lot of fun but does seem to have given several pages of work to a terrible, terrible writer of dialogue, so I'm doing a little cringing there.

@Danika: Comfort read & get well. The heady stuff can wait a day or two.
May I suggest some Calvin and Hobbes till your feeling better, Danika?
Behemoth by Scott Westerfield. Really good!
Steampunk, right? Is this new? You're enthusiastic? Don? Is that you?
Yeah, who are you and what have you done with Don, you new-teen-fiction-lover?
