I FINALLY started reading the new Stephen King book "Full Dark, No Stars." I've had it checked out for a bit now and wanted to be in the right frame of mind to begin. Well during that tornado warning night we had, it seemed rather an appropriate time. I'm still on the first of the four "short stories" and so far, it seems to be vintage King. I know Ben's already read the whole thing, so maybe he can add a lil' something something.

I seem to have left off reading The Once and Future King altogether, but I'm really getting into David Copperfield.

I'm shamelessly re-reading Harry Potter. Saw the movie for daughter's b-day--loved it. The last book of interest that I read was Marcus Zusak's The Book Thief about a young German girl set during the rise of the Nazi party. The narrator is Death. Beautifully written. Made me sob.

Growing Up Laughing, Marlo Thomas.

Mixture of interviews with comedians, stories of growing up, family pictures, jokes. More than half way through and nothing meaty or insightful yet. Light-hearted, but I guess I should have expected that.

Growing Up Laughing, Marlo Thomas:

Update: The very last (and shortest) chapter talked about St. Jude Hospital, and was actually the kind of meaningful insight I was looking for. More of this & less of Uncle Miltie, and I would have been thrilled.
