- I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.

Just started Slaughter House Five the other night.
Still working on Sedaris's When you are Engulfed in Flames, then I'll re-read The Liars' Club so I can give it to Don for him to read in time for the book group.

Finishing "A Supremely Bad Idea" and beginning to think it was.
Next? I dunno, anybody got some new nonfiction suggestions?
I started reading "Mockingbird" to my daughter, who appears to be enjoying it, as well as enjoying a little night-time read aloud. I thought maybe she was too old for that, but not so. I will need to buffer the contents as the book progresses, but so far, so good.
I'm reading Liar's Club right now so I can get the book to Elise in time for book club. And because I need to know what all the hype is about so I'm trying to make my way through Twilight.
Rereading Neil Gaiman's and Terry Pratchett's Good Omens and a film criticism book for school. The Liar's Club is next on my list.

I feel like Don this week. I'm reading Lord Jim, which is a literary travesty, I just finished a play called The Committee, by Sir Robert Howard, which has no merit other than to demonstrate that it is indeed possible to beat Shakespeare's comedies for unbelievability of plot, and I'm still working on Jim Butcher's Storm Front, for a discussion at the library earlier this evening, which is iffy-okay (sorry, Erin, I don't think I'll be picking up the next one anytime soon). So no big recommendations from this week. Next week I start Mrs. Dalloway. I'll let you know what I think, Christine.
Good Omens needs its own zip code. It's just that glorious.
Sorry Storm Front didn't rock your socks, Danika. Like I said at the meeting, I think it's the weakest one in the series. The later books are much better. I still maintain that Morgan is repressing his burning unrequited love for Harry.
I started the Lovecraft stories, all of which could be subtitled "Tentacles: The Hidden Menace."
I'm still reading the Other Boleyn Girl (been reading too much other random stuff in between). Also, have y'all heard of http://www.goodreads.com/ its one of those social networking sites where you can mark what books you've read and want to read and all that type stuff.
