I'm all school-y this week. Plannin' school. Teachin' school. Buyin' stuff for school. Schooly, school, school.
Labor Day night, the night before we started, I was hopping around the house stacking folders and books and sharpening pencils. Jim looked at me and said, "This is like your favorite night of the year isn't it? You are such a nerd." It's great to be understood by those we love.
Do you have any favorite books set in schools (preferably big, stone, ivy-covered places, you know--English boarding schools and the like)? Also, care to list any favorite movies in school settings? Come on, I'll start:

Movie: Mean Girls?
Book: Meh, I dunno. Oh wait, there was one but I can't remember the name of it! The main character's name was Pip, short for Philippa, and she had a young teacher named Percy whom she idolized, and she was good at drawing caricatures of people. I believe the book was set at an English (or European) boarding school for girls. Does this ring any bells for anyone? Does anyone know what book I'm talking about? I've suddenly made myself curious. Maybe I'd like to re-read this book someday.
