Cooksin recently told me about this book, The Sixty-Eight Rooms, which is about a girl's shrunken adventures inside the tiny Thorne Rooms at the Art Institute. The rooms charmed Cooksin when she was a girl and are still an exhibit we visit when we're in the museum together, either with or without our own children. I checked out this book for my nine-year-old, Maria, as well as the coffee table book of photos of the actual Thorne Rooms. Maria is enjoying the story so far and loves reading about the details of the rooms. She especially likes that the little musical instruments all work.

I love tiny things! I need to get to the museum to see those rooms.
I LOOOOVE the Miniature Rooms! That is my favorite part of the museum. I'm already looking those books up!!!
Thanks, Christine (and Cooksin!) :D
Seriously, if you haven't seen those, you HAVE to go! (and take me with you)
