Christine! Why didn't you tell anyone you'd started this back up again?! Anyway, right now I'm reading Ann Patchett's State of Wonder and Nate Silver's The Signal and the Noise. Completely different books, and I'm getting through both of them rather slowly due to school starting up recently. Both are good in their own way. State of Wonder for its lush prose and Signal and the Noise for its well-researched information about prediction.
Well, hello, Lisa! A few of the old gang had popped on again and seen that I was around a bit, but when my Tuesday inquiries failed to get even a nibble, even I stopped checking back. And here you are! Maybe I'll keep putting up the odd post.
I just bought Bel Canto when it was the Daily Find for nook the other day. Haven't started it, but have heard good things over the years. Have you finished State of Wonder?
Hey, guys! Haven't been here in a while!
I'm working on rereading Lord of the Rings, with the goal of getting all the way through Return of the King this time. I finished The Hobbit and Fellowship, and just started Two Towers today. Wish me luck!
Go for it, DRD! Oliv has been stuck with a bookmark in Two Towers for years! Or was it Return of the King. . .
