I often have a few books with bookmarks in them at once. I enjoy classics more than contemporary works of fiction, often read historical fiction, and love to get glimpses into other people's lives by reading memoirs and biographies.
Hello, fellow readers! What are you reading on this April day? (and Happy Birthday, Martha!)

Happy birthday to Martha!
I've actually already finished reading Tina Fey's Bossypants. Some parts were laugh-out-loud funny and some of it just gave me more insight into my heroine (and by that I mean lady hero; I don't want to inject her and listen to jazz). (Disclaimer: joke stolen from "30 Rock.") I hear the audiobook is a must-get for the fan, so I'll probably shell out for that too.
I'm still getting through Consumed, which is a tough read, but I'm liking it. My copy is borrowed from the Sycamore library, but I think I may actually buy a copy to keep soon.
Christine, can you do a Movie Monday next week? Vinny & I are thinking about trying Netflix, and I'd like some good recommendations for movies. We don't get out much.
Lisa, I think I would like the Tina Fey book, too. Thanks for reminding me. Hearing her read it would be esp. funny, I would think, like hearing David Sedaris read his stuff.
Mary, yes, I'd be glad to do a Movie Monday for you, but we need a little help. Please give us two movies that you really like, two movies that Vince really likes, and two other movies that you both really like. Hear that readers? Put your thinking caps on for Mary Sue and Vince. You have a few days to think of some suggestions for her on my next Movie Monday page!
I am reading, "Who Were They Really? The True Stories Behind Famous Characters" by Susan Beth Pfeffer. The book details some of the inspirations for many famous children's stories. One of my favorites is a picture of the actual "Christopher Robin" from A.A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh. It is a very book and my girls love it as much as I do.
@cgb: Your book sounds interesting. I loved the story of how Baum wrote the Oz series! Is that included?
@Christine: Thanks, Christine. The last two movies we saw out were Seabiscuit and Frost & Nixon. I like escapes (Stargate) & based-on-true (Changeling). Vince likes action (Bourne) & mafia (Godfather). We both like justice (Shawshank Redemption) & classics (Dracula, GWTW).

Lisa, does Tina read the audio? 'Cause that would be AWESOME.

Gave up on "Moby-Duck" and have now started the new Steven Levy book "In The Plex" (it's about Google).
